According to a new study titled Sex Unleashes Your Tongue, sex creates a feeling of intimacy that makes you feel extremely close to a person. Your body wanting that feeling to last triggers the brain to say anything that might prolong that closeness.
Enter: "I love you".
The whole point is your brain attempting to remain close to that person for as long as possible.
Unfortunately the study did not figure out the best response to someone when you accidentally blurt out those 3 words.
