Sam Smith had lipo at the age of 12.
During an interview with Jameela Jamil on "I Weigh Interviews", a new Instagram series, Sam opened up about his lifelong struggles with weight and gender
He says he had liposuction to remove breasts that developed from excess levels of estrogen in his body.
He also said in the same interview that he is gender-queer and non-binary.
He said, “I’ve always been very free in terms of thinking about sexuality. I’ve tried to change that into my thoughts on gender. You do not identify in a gender. You are a mixture of all these different things. You are your own special creation. That is how I take it. I am not male or female. I think I float somewhere in between — somewhat on the spectrum.”
He also said that he feels male or female depending on the situation, and has questioned whether or not he’d want a sex change.
