Post Malone has been singing and producing music since high school.
His first hip-hop mixtape was called "Young and After Them Riches". He also played in both metal and indie bands whilst growing up, and has stated that at 40 years old, he aims to become a country singer.
During school, his classmates voted him "Most Likely to Become Famous". Posty created a character named "DeChino" for a high school art project. When he was 17, he made a parody video and synth-pop song for DeChino titled “Why Don’t You Love Me.” The vid surfaced online in 2016, showcasing Malone’s goofy side as he dances in tight shorts with a friend. It is now once again circulating Instagram ...Although his silly character “DeChino” has retired from music, Malone still pays respect to his teenage character, including a shout-out in the song “Psycho.”
