We were in the woods this weekend!!! We took a mini camping trip and explored up north (Mackinac Island, Cheboygan, and U.P.) at a campsite that was taken over during the pandemic, and had been given really bad reviews. We decided to ignore the reviews and see for our self. Worst case scenario it was just a place to sleep. We realized that the reviews weren't off but also weren't right. They were just bashing and didn't include the fact that it was taken over during a pandemic and was struggling to stay afloat. It will be absolutely beautiful some day!
What this trip made us do is venture out more. Which truly was the best part of this trip. Regardless of the obstacles of the weekend. We stuck it out and made some incredible memories. Cecily literally made me walk around the campsite site to remember it forever. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I always try to make these trips perfect and they never are, and I’m starting to appreciate the imperfections more.
We will go back to this campsite someday when they get it put together, because it changed they way experience vacations, and go camping. AND I LOVE IT!
