Kendrick Lamar took aim at A$AP Relli on his surprise collaboration with Playboi Carti.
On Friday, March 14, the Atlanta rapper delivered his long-awaited album MUSIC following a brief delay. K.Dot appears on three songs "Backr00m," "Mojo Jojo," and "Good Credit." On the latter track, the Compton native fired shots at Relli, born Terell Ephron, by essentially calling him a b***h midway through his verse. The defensive lyrics emphasize his thoughts about Relli's actions throughout his criminal case against A$AP Rocky.
"The emerald cuff for hers and his, that b***h on point like A$AP Relli," Lamar spits.
Kendrick Lamar shamed Relli several weeks after a jury found A$AP Rocky not guilty in their felony gun assault trial. Relli accused the "HIGHJACK" rapper of firing a gun at him during a verbal argument in Los Angeles in 2021. Relli went to the police and told them a bullet grazed his left hand. Rocky was arrested and charged with two counts of felony assault with a semi-automatic weapon.
The trial for the case began in January and lasted for three weeks. During the trial, Relli took the witness stand and told the jury Rocky instigated the argument that led to the shooting. He showed texts messages Rocky sent the night before their melee. However, Rocky's attorney Jose Tacopina accused Relli of lyng about what happened the night before and brought up receipts of texts he sent to the father of Rihanna's kids.
After A$AP Rocky was acquitted on both counts, the hip-hop community turned on Relli with artists like 50 Cent calling him "A$AP Telli."
