Megan Thee Stallion and BTS standout RM just set the Internet on fire with their first-ever collab, "Neva Play," assuring fans that they were "on the way" with "raunchy" lyrics and a futuristic beat.
Megan Thee Stallion kicks off the track (released on Friday, September 6) by counting the zeros in her bank account, revealing that she and RM "gang and we gangin'" on boss level business. The official music video, shared in tandem with the single, depicts the it girl playing pinball in an arcade before jumping into an ultramodern and unfamiliar location.
As the video proceeds, fans are invited into an anime world where the "Sweetest Pie" songstress floats onto the scene with money balloons and twerks away the villains. The chorus resounds a second time before RM takes the spotlight, bringing the arcade game to life as the two join forces amid his smooth verse.
By the end of the track, the duo we never knew we needed (and now can't live without) count together as they ride off in a getaway car, bag secured.
Both artists teased the track in the weeks leading up to its release, sharing a comic book illustration of the cover to their Instagram pages on Sunday (September 1). US Weekly mentioned that this is Megan Thee Stallion and RM's first collab, but not the first time the "HISS" hitmaker has worked with BTS, as she was featured in a 2021 remix of the groups hit track "Butter".
