Artem Chigvintsev, known for appearing as a pro on Dancing with the Stars, has been arrested.
According to a report from TMZ on Thursday (August 29), the 42-year-old professional dancer was arrested Thursday morning on a felony charge of domestic violence and booked into Napa County Jail in California with a bail set at $25,000, per Page Six.
Chigvintsev's arrest comes three days after celebrating his second wedding anniversary with wife and former WWE wrestler Nikki Garcia. The couple, who live in Napa Valley, got married in 2022 after sparking a romance following being paired up on Dancing with the Stars in 2019. They share one child together, 4-year-old son Matteo.
As of Thursday afternoon, the circumstances surrounding Chigvintsev's arrest are unclear as is whether Garcia was involved in the altercation that led to her husband being booked into jail.
Garcia marked their wedding anniversary on Monday (August 26) with a heartfelt post on Instagram that featured lyrics to Elvis Presley's song "Can't Help Falling in Love." Chigvintsev also celebrated his anniversary with his "love" whom he called his "everything," adding that he "can't see my life with out you."
Following the DWTS pro's arrest, a source has confirmed "there were no plans for Artem Chigvintsev to be a part of Season 33 of 'Dancing with the Stars,' set to premiere next month.
