Ben Affleck reportedly showed no "interest" in fixing his rocky marriage to Jennifer Lopez prior to the singer filing for divorce this week.

TMZ reported on Tuesday (August 20) that the "On the Floor" singer officially filed to end her marriage to the Argo director on the two-year anniversary of their second wedding ceremony, submitting legal documents to the Los Angeles County Superior Court. According to the filings, Lopez listed the date of their separation as April 26, 2024, seemingly confirming months-long speculation surrounding the state of their rocky relationship, per Page Six.

Following news of their split, a source told People that Lopez is ready to "move on" after Affleck didn't appear to have any interest in working on their marriage.

"She's very disappointed and sad, but Ben hasn't given her any signs that he wants to continue their marriage," the source said. "He hasn't show any commitment and interest in making their marriage work. It's gotten to the point that she just needs to look out for herself."

Another source told People that she "was done waiting" and that "she tried really hard to make things work and is heartbroken" for the relationship to be over.

Lopez and Affleck first date and got engaged in the early 2000s before ultimately calling it quits. After rekindling their romance in 2021, they officially tied the knot in a small Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022, with a bigger ceremony with friends and family in Georgia August 20. However, rumors there was trouble in paradise between the famous former couple began swirling in May after Affleck was seen without his wedding ring and Lopez "liked" a cryptic post about unhealthy relationships. Since then, multiple reports have surfaced claiming that "too much drama" caused the rift between the pair and that there was a "slim" chance of reconciliation.
