iHeartRadio Rewind: The Top R&B Artists & Songs Of 2023

Silk Sonic's Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak are the most popular R&B artists of the year.

On Thursday, December 7, iHeart Media unleashed its annual iHeartRewind list for the most played artists, songs and podcasts of 2023. Silk Sonic dominates the list of Top R&B Artists of the year thanks to songs like "Leave The Door Open" and "Love's Train," which was the top winter R&B song of the year. The second slot on the list belongs to Wizkid followed by H.E.R. in third. Mary J. Blige comes in at fourth place while Ronald Isley ends the list at No. 5.

For the Top R&B songs, Wizkid's "Essence" featuring Tems reigns as the No. 1 hit of the year. H.E.R.'s "Damage" continues to be a top favorite among listeners. Silk Sonic comes in third with "Love's Train" followed by Ronald Isley, The Isley Brothers, and Beyoncé's rare collaboration “Make Me Say It Again Girl." Tems' "Free Mind" rounds out the Top 5.
