It can be hard to let new original holiday music into your annual rotation. Between all of the Christmas standards and modern pop classics like Wham!'s "Last Christmas," Bruce Springsteen's "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town," and Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You," there are plenty of well-known songs to choose from. Still, every couple of years, a pop star can impressively insert themselves into the canon. For example, Ariana Grande's "Santa Tell Me" and Justin Bieber's "Mistletoe" are slowly becoming staples heard in stores and parties during the holidays.
This year, pop musicians gave it their all with their festive musical projects. In addition to singles from Meghan Trainor and Jimmy Fallon ("Wrap Me Up"), Mimi Webb ("Back Home For Christmas"), and K-pop girl group Aespa ("Jingle Bell Rock"), 12 pop artists have released full-length holiday albums or EPs.
From Cher's festive "DJ Play A Christmas Song"— who will be spreading Christmas cheer at the 2023 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball on Dec. 8th along with Sabrina Carpenter— to Brandy's "Christmas Everyday," the following songs are sure to give you that warm, fuzzy feeling as we fly through the remainder of this holiday season.
