Billy Ray Cyrus is showing his support for Beyoncé after she was shut out of the 2024 Country Music Awards.

On Wednesday (November 20), Cyrus took to Instagram to share his thoughts on Bey not receiving any CMA nominations following the release of her groundbreaking country album Cowboy Carter earlier this year.

“I’m so happy and proud to see country music opening their doors and format to be inclusive to all people, all styles,” Cyrus wrote.

The country music legend then made an apparent dig at the CMA's for not airing an award he won with "Old Town Road" collaborator Lil Nas X in 2019.

“@lilnasx and I won this award in 2019 for Event of the Year… but you wouldn’t have seen it because they didn’t air it in the show,” Cyrus added.

The singer made it clear that he was "surprised" that Bey didn't get nominated for her latest album.

“I was surprised to see @beyonce wasn’t nominated??? Her album was brilliant… her single ruled. But she knows that. She doesn’t need a trophy from the CMA… or permission… or approval from any of their judges," he wrote.

Cyrus joins many Beyoncé fans who believe the artist was snubbed by the CMA's after she was the first Black woman to top the Country Albums chart. Cowboy Carter's “Texas Hold ’Em," “II Most Wanted,” and “Jolene" also charted earlier this year.

Instagram users applauded Cyrus for using his platform to support Bey.
