Damar Hamlin is a gifted athlete & a good human. Just look at what he's been doing off the field. Back in 2020 he started a fundraising effort to help kids that were seriously impacted by the pandemic. He wanted to make sure that even at the start of his NFL career he was giving back to the community that raised him. Starting with a small goal of $2,500, fans from both Cincinnati & Buffalo found the fundraiser last night and within the 1st hour of Hamlin being rushed to the hospital for emergent care, the GoFundMe had raised more than $74,000. Word spread, by 1AM this morning it had surpassed $2 MILLION & is well on its way to $4 MILLION as we speak. Not to mention the impromptu candlelight vigil being held outside the UC Medical Center where he's receiving treatment.
Its a beautiful moment in an otherwise absolutely heart-wrenching situation.
