Before Madelyn and Braden left for college, they wanted to end summer '19 with a bang. They decided to water ski from Oostburg, WI to Silver Lake State Park and they did it in 2 1/2 hours.....without stopping! Madelyn said, “this journey has taught me that I can achieve anything in life that I set my mind towards. If I can ski across Lake Michigan, I can do anything.”
Of course the parents approved of their plan. Terry Hendrikse, Madelyn’s father said, “I triple-checked the weather and wind conditions on seven different sources, and Saturday’s forecast was certainly the best.”
