I'm not mad that we have another New Music Friday that consists of only strong women.
First up we have "Lover" off of Taylor's new album that drops next Friday.
I think she's singing about her man Joe Alwyn. Did you notice on the screen a heart that had the British flag? It was quick, but definitely a nod to him.
Then we have Normani's "Motivation." The video gives me Beyonce vibes, and I love it!
And finally, we have Miley's break up song "Slide Away." She released this right after Liam Hemsworth confirmed their split after being married for 8 months. One lyric in this song stands out for me, "Don't want the whiskey and pills..." Is Miley referring to a possible substance problem with Liam or herself?
