BTS' "DNA" Is Now The Most-Viewed Video By a K-Pop Group On YouTube

The #BTSArmy has another reason to celebrate. BTS' video for "DNA," which dropped on September 18th, 2017, is now the most viewed music video by a K-Pop group, generating over 350 million views since its release. Over the weekend, "DNA," which landed at No. 67 on the Hot 100, beat out K-pop contemporaries BIGBANG's "Fantastic Baby" which held the title of most viewed K-pop video for years. "Fantastic Baby" has gained 348.1 million since its release in March 2012.

This milestone is yet another win in BTS' domination of YouTube. The music video for "Fire" has been viewed more than 300 million times and "Blood Sweat & Tears," "Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)," "Not Today" and "Save Me" have all crossed over 200 million views.

The next most viewed video by a K-pop group is TWICE’s “TT,” which holds a whopping 347.17 million views. BLACKPINK's "BOOMBAYAH" has also surpassed the 3 million views mark.

PSY still holds the title for the most viewed video by a solo K-pop artist. To date, his viral hit "Gangnam Style" has over 3.14 billion views and is the 4th most watched YouTube video. The rappers follow up, "Gentleman," has 1.16 billion views. Ed Sheeran's "Shape Of You" comes in at #3 most watched 3.46 billion views. "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi featuring Daddy Yankee wears the crown at #1 most watched with 5.08 billion views.

BTS revealed that their upcoming full-length album Love Yourself: Tear will be released on May 18th. The album will be the follow-up to 2017's Love Yourself: Her, and is their second entry into the Love Yourself series and their next release since the record-breaking Japanese album Face Yourself. It will also be BTS' third album, following 2014's Dark & Wild and 2016's Wings. Love Yourself: Her had over 1.05 million pre-order sales and peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart.

BTS also won the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Award for Best Boy Band and the #BTSArmy took home the award for Best Fan Army presented by Taco Bell.
