At least a handful of times a year the internet tricks us all. I am not sure why anyone would create this fake story, but maybe that's what make's it so believable.
The short version is that Jerry Seinfeld was in Grand Rapids, his car broke down and some nice gentlemen helped him out.
In the article he is quoted as saying.
"People in Grand Rapids are the salt of the Earth. The real deal. I’m definitely going to move there at some point in the future, honestly"
This is 100% fake.
This story was sent to me by a friend and I loved it so much I even posted the fake quote. Luckily the internet has a way of finding out the truth.
