Yay, another scam call to look out for. The Kent County Sheriff's office warns residents about someone posing as a sheriff. The person scamming will tell you one of your family members is on a sex offender list and has violated it so you need to pay a fine. They then give you a different number to call and that you'll need to pay by gift card.
This is a scam! If it happens to you or someone you know, contact the police.
