As most of you know, I am a huge fan of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I have been for as long as I can remember. But, I can honestly say that Michael Bay did NOT ruin the Ninja Turtle franchise...because it was already dead.
The Ninja Turtles were incredibly popular when I was a kid.
The franchise has tired many times to make a comeback and just recently have come close to actually doing it.
However no matter how many times they have tried to reboot the show, it has always ended the same way... people dressing up as the Ninja Turtles for Halloween and kids sort-of getting into the new version of the cartoon.
Then Michael Bay announced he was creating a new version of the LEGENDARY movie. Everyone, including myself, was very concerned that he was going to destroy and epic franchise. But ask yourself this. When is the last time you saw a really good Ninja Turtles...ANYTHING. The newest cartoon is okay at best.
I really started to think about what I loved about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It was their early cartoons, comics, toys, and the movies. Well, actually to be fair, the Ninja Turtle movies were not all great. Only the first movie was GREAT, the second the was ehhh and the third SUCKED. The more I thought about what I really loved about them, the more I realized that the Ninja Turtles franchise couldn't be ruined because they haven't been awesome since the 90's.
This video will better explain every single bizarre moment of the Ninja Turtles franchise. Including the time they toured as a weird boy band.
