Two people who were charged with lying to police about the January death of a Park Township man, are now facing murder charges.
WOOD-TV reports warrants were issued for 40-year-old Maryann Castorena and her acquaintance, 19-year-old Anthony DeLaGarza (pictured) for the murder of 38-year-old Jose Hernandez.
While out on bond, Castorena was arrested Wednesday on initial charges of lying to police. She is currently awaiting arraignment in the Ottawa County Jail on murder charges.
DeLaGarza is expected to be arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Holland District Court.
An autopsy showed Hernandez died of blunt force trauma to the head. His body was found on January 6th outside of his apartment in park Township. Both Castorena and DeLaGarza were arrested a few days after the body was found.
