The Federal Highway Trust Fund is nearly insolvent and reportedly the federal government is considering cutting back the money it sends to the states.

Clark Harder, from the Michigan Public Transit Association says that makes for a lot of uncertainty in Michigan's plans, and may cut back on projects that already have been approved.

He also cites polls that say 60 percent of the voters headed for Michigan's Primary election this summer will have the condition of our roads at the tops of their minds.
