Owner SpartanNash Co. is mum Thursday on the closing of its Cedar Springs store, though the building is now apparently up for sale.

Business for the Cedar Springs staple has dropped off steadily since the opening of a nearby Meijer in the area.

The lease for SpartanNash Corp. expires in November and the building itself is now said to be for sale for $1.85 million.

The retail grocer is said to be referring itself pharmaceutical operations and other services to nearby stores.
