Listen to Chris Brown on iHeartRadio

Chris Brown is scrapping his Canadian concert dates citing his recent personal and health setbacks.

Promoter Stephen Tobin of the Drop Entertainment Group announced Monday that a decision was made to cancel all four performances after ongoing conversations and consultation with Brown.  The singer's publicist, Nicole Perna, said Chris regrets not being able to perform for his Canadian fans and will use to this time to focus on himself and on the release of his upcoming album.  She added that Chris looks forward to performing in Canada "very soon."

Brown's probation was reinstated last Friday after his involvement in an alleged hit-and-run-incident in Toluca Lake, California in May.  He recently reached what was described as a "civil compromise" with the driver of the car but a judge also ordered him to perform an additional 1,000 hours of community labor related to his probation for the 2009 attack on former girlfriend Rihanna.

Brown also suffered a seizure earlier this month.  His publicist said at the time that it was brought on by "intense emotional stress, both due to the continued onslaught of unfounded legal matters and the non-stop negativity."
